Kiwi sports,flag football

On Monday Room 8 went to kiwi sports in the hall.There were two coaches and cones and balls. First they said we are doing flag football and they said they are three positions they are quarter back, wide receiver and half back. After we had got into groups and two or three students will go to each cone and get a ball. Then they told what we have to do for passing to the student in front of us. Next we got told how to catch the ball.Finally we had finished and we said what we had learned and went back to class and it was fun.

WALT:write a recount on making a chatterbox 

Wow,in Room 8 Miss Bracey ripped 21 pages from a magazine. She shared the pages from the magazine around the class with scissors. I was curious that we were going to make a basic origami. 

Secondly,Miss Bracey said to fold our pages in to a large triangle with a rectangle on the side of the page. So Miss Bracey said to cut the rectangle off. Other students said this is going to be a chatterbox but I had said this can’t be a chatterbox because we just started. 

Next,We had to open the triangle into a square with a line in the middle. Miss Bracey said to fold the page into a triangle again! The whole class had to fold their triangle in to large triangles. We folded medium size triangles and we folded smaller triangles!

This was fun making a chatterbox in Room 8 for a recount I wish we could make a origami in Room 8.

WALT: We had did boxing and learn new moves

On the 13th of August Monday Room 8 went to there boxing lenson After lunch.The moves that we
had done was rock,left & right hooks,jab,left & right upper cuts,right cross,move steps,forward back and side,combo's

Did you know the sun is a big hydrogen,helium bomb?

An important fact is the sun was made 4.6 billion years ago.

1,000 Jupiters can fit into the sun.

The sun is a giant magnet.

 Furthermore the sun has invisible magnetic fields.

In fact the sun is a gas fire ball that is so hot it is like lava. 

A different name to call the sun is a  nuclear ball or nuclear bomb   because it is a round ball and it is like a bomb.

The gravity of the sun is powerful because it make’s the planet’s orbit  around the sun.

Something you need to know is the sun has big pango,(black) spot’s.

Volleyball

Last week Room8 went to volley ball.The coach name is Elenor.One hard thing to do was hitting the ball when it was windy.One more hard thing was doing also was passing the ball and team work.When we where hitting the ball it was hard when we where hitting the ball because and when passing the ball. 

Iron up sports

In the morning Room 8 Room 6 went to the hall.Room 8 and Room 6 went the field to do Iron up sports.We had learnt how to run better and faster.We had to go in to groups. We had to see what kid in room 8.Six kids had to see one of the kids in Room 8.A boy and a girl.

Tobruk:Tobruk is a Street. Tobruk was a war zone. A lot of soldiers died that  fought for their land . There is a book called Red Tobruk. The book is about a war.

Two Bridges

Room 8 went to view of the first Panmure Bridge.
That first Panmure Bridge was demolished.
Next to the Panmure Bridge was a yacht club.
The Panmure Bridge was also a swing bridge.
Hemi from Panmure.went to Pakuranga to plant vegatables in a field. There were some animals and plants in Pakuranga.Hemi went to Australia to sell his animals and his plant’s to get some money.

One year ago there was a girl that ran across the 8 lane  highway. A car came and hit that girl that was on the highway.
Because that happend a foot bridge was made so people can get to university safely..
Next to the foot bridge were skyscraper’s.

Two week’s ago the  foot bridge collapsed. There were cars going past and people died under the highway.
